The Journey
The Journey is a Mauritian Solo Tabla Electro Live concept. From a minimum duration of 30 mins to a maximum duration of 1 hour, Shakti explores and demonstrates various moods, aspect and emotions of the Solo Tabla Playing in a very modern and stylish way. After practicing and experimenting his Solo Performances for almost 27 years in a closed room, Shakti came with this project with the only intentions to share his Music, his Passion and his way of listening, arranging and playing the Tabla Solo. The simple way of describing the project is the I&I concept. It is Shakti playing, accompanying, and improvising with himself on the stage. The concept is based on a tailor made soundtrack, Composed, Recorded, Arranged and Mastered by Shakti himself, where he plays intricate Rhythms, Orchestration, and Thunderous Rhythmic Compositions, which are often played in a traditional manner, but in order to share his music to the modern world and technologies, Shakti composed an Electro Background designed especially for this concept. The project is a Live Sound and Light Experience. The lightings are specially designed and programmed to match each second in the Music Background, where the lights will also perform Rhythms together with Shakti on stage.
